Arleen Sorkin, the original Harley Quinn voice actress on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ passed away at the age of 67

The iconic Days of Our Lives star Arleen Sorkin, one of the original voices behind Harley Quinn, has passed away at the age of 67. She was born in 1931 and died Thursday at the age of 67.
She had been unable to work on live-action projects in recent years due to unspecified health issues, which she played Calliope Jones in Days off and on from 1984 to 2010.

Fond Remembrance: James Gunn Honors Arleen Sorkin – Co-Creator of Harley Quinn

The co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram Saturday to Arleen Sorkin, the veteran voice actor who helped create Harley Quinn. “She was incredibly talented and helped shape the character so many of us love,” Gunn wrote.

In the cartoons, Hamill played the Joker opposite Sorkin’s Harley Quinn and tweeted: “Devastated to hear Arleen Sorkin has passed away. In addition to being a wonderful talent, Arleen was also a wonderful person. I am grateful to have known and worked with her. My condolences go out to her family and friends.”
In addition to Saturday Night Live, Duet, Open House, Dream On, and Perry Mason: The Case of the Killer Kiss, Sorkin has also appeared in several other TV shows.
During the 1970s and 1980s, she performed as a member of a comedy troupe and in cabaret shows.
