Continued Relief: Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced by Rs 158

The Centre also lowered the prices of Domestic LPG by Rs 200 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan

In recent news, Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have decreased the cost of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 158. This reduction comes shortly after a Rs 200 price drop for Domestic LPG cylinders by the Centre just before Raksha Bandhan.

Starting from today, the new price for a 19kg commercial LPG cylinder will be Rs 1,522. These price adjustments for both commercial and domestic LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders typically occur on the first day of each month, with the new rates taking effect from September 1.

To provide some context, in the previous month, OMCs had already lowered the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75. However, in July, they increased the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 7 each.

Notably, May and June of this year witnessed consecutive price cuts for commercial LPG cylinders. In May, OMCs reduced the price of a commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 172, followed by a Rs 83 reduction in June.

In April, prices saw a decrease of Rs 91.50 per unit.

It’s worth mentioning that on March 1 of this year, Petroleum and oil marketing companies raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 50 per unit.
