Ed Sheeran’s memorable night out with Snoop Dogg took an unexpected turn when he found himself in a situation he hadn’t anticipated — losing his sight, all in the presence of his mother-in-law.

The renowned singer, aged 32, had accompanied his wife Cherry and her mother, Ann, backstage following one of Snoop Dogg’s cannabis-infused shows in Australia in March. What followed was a night Ed would never forget.

Recalling the evening, Ed shared, “I remember him meeting my mother-in-law and being like, ‘What’s up, queen?'”

Ed had developed a friendship with actor Russell Crowe over the years, who, coincidentally, had a close bond with Snoop Dogg. Despite not being a regular smoker, Ed found himself in the dressing room with Snoop and others, passing around joints.

He explained, “I don’t really smoke at all, but I was in the dressing room, and they were just like blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt. I was like, I guess at some point during the night, I have to, just to say I smoked with Snoop Dogg.”

However, what started as a casual experience took an unexpected turn. Ed admitted, “He was like, ‘Do you want some?’ so I had a bit, and I was like, ‘I don’t feel too bad, this is good.’ Then I had a bit more, and then I had a bit more, and then I had a bit more.”

The night culminated in a surreal moment as Ed realized, “I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.'”

Despite this unexpected adventure, Ed Sheeran has continued to make headlines. He recently released his seventh album, “Autumn Variations,” which is currently poised to claim the No. 1 spot, boasting sales that double those of its closest competitor.
