Ivanka Trump’s Humanitarian Mission in Maui

Ivanka Trump : Lending a Helping Hand
A few weeks ago, Ivanka Trump made a heartfelt and discreet visit to Maui, embarking on a secret mission to provide assistance to residents still grappling with the aftermath of destructive wildfires. Join us as we uncover her compassionate journey.
The former first daughter teamed up with CityServe International for a humanitarian mission aimed at supporting those affected by the largest wildfire in U.S. history. Together, they distributed an impressive 250,000 prepackaged meals to families who had been displaced by the devastating blaze.
Their journey took them to a welcoming community in Lahaina, where a local church has transformed into a food pantry. Here, Ivanka Trump and her team met with resilient residents who are tirelessly working to rebuild their lives.
Spreading Hope, One Meal at a Time
Ivanka Trump, dressed in a plain tank top and green cargo pants, donned a name tag that simply read ‘Iva’ as she personally distributed locally grown fresh produce to the community. She handed out fresh vegetables, delivered essential supplies, and took time to pose for photographs with the people she met.

CityServe International shared their thoughts on Ivanka’s presence, stating, “Her humble presence lifted spirits and reminded the people of Lahaina that they are not forgotten. Amidst the tears being shed are tangible signs of hope and love, and with the arrival of meals and supplies, our partners and team alongside Ivanka were hefting boxes of supplies, consoling survivors, and passing out meals to those who’ve lost everything.”
Aiding Displaced Residents
Approximately 6,000 displaced residents have found refuge in Maui hotels, with another 1,100 seeking shelter in Airbnb rentals. Ivanka Trump and the CityServe team ensured that these families and individuals received much-needed food, water, local produce, gift cards, and essential supplies. Their efforts extended to hotels, local distribution centers, and pantries near Lahaina.
In addition to immediate necessities, the group provided gas cards and air filters to residents, who were cautioned against consuming local water and urged to avoid areas damaged by the wildfires.
Ivanka Trump’s connections also played a vital role in securing donations from various companies for the people of Maui, according to CityServe.
A Brighter Tomorrow
In a promising development, a cargo plane carrying supplies worth $1 million is set to depart for Maui next week. This substantial shipment includes ebikes, electric scooters, electronics, toys, dry foods, small appliances, ukuleles, and several pallets of Jockey clothing—a generous contribution made possible through Ivanka’s connections.
While the wildfires have been contained across the island, the impact remains significant, with 2,170 acres charred, a death toll of 97, and 66 individuals still missing. Cleanup efforts are underway, with an estimated 2,200 damaged or destroyed structures, and the cost is expected to reach $5.5 billion.
Supporting Economic Recovery
Tourism is a key driver of Hawaii’s economy, but the wildfire led to a lowered economic growth prediction for 2023. To aid economic recovery, much of West Maui is set to reopen to tourists on October 8 under a new wildfire emergency proclamation signed by Hawaii Governor Josh Green. However, visitors are asked to steer clear of Lahaina and the affected east coast.
A Community on the Mend
Meanwhile, residents in Lahaina, Kula, and surrounding areas are advised to use only bottled water or potable water provided by tankers, emphasizing the ongoing recovery efforts.
Education and Resilience
In the midst of these challenges, students face a delay in their return to class until mid-October. Approximately 3,000 students from four Lahaina public schools have been displaced due to the fires.
A Heartfelt Partnership
Ivanka Trump’s partnership with CityServe has spanned almost four years, with a strong focus on philanthropy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they worked together to provide food to those in need. Additionally, Ivanka played a pivotal role in sending 1 million meals to Ukrainians and joined CityServe on a mission to assist refugees in Poland.
While Ivanka Trump has stepped away from politics and is supporting her father’s presidential bid from the sidelines, her dedication to charity work remains steadfast as she prioritizes raising her three children alongside her husband, Jared Kushner.
The Kushner/Trump family relocated to Florida following their tenure in Washington D.C., where Jared and Ivanka served as advisers in President Trump’s administration.
