Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani selected for esteemed Busan Film Festival

Currently, Karan Johar is enjoying the massive success of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. After making Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, this film marked his return to directing. After its release, it received a positive critical response and a strong box-office performance. It also marked 25 years in the industry for him as a director.

At Busan Film Festival, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani has been selected.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani has been selected for the Busan film festival, another great accomplishment for the film team. In his Instagram story, KJO shared this great news. The film will be shown in the Open Cinema Section of the festival. The Busan film festival takes place between 4th and 13th October this year. He wrote, “feeling absolutely blessed & grateful #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahaani goes.”

The story of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani

This film tells the story of Rani (Alia Bhatt), a Bengali reporter, and Rocky Randhawa (Ranveer Singh), a Punjabi guy from a wealthy family. Despite falling in love, the two realize their families may oppose one another. So they decide to spend some time with each other’s families before getting married. In addition to Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra, this film features Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Many celebrities have praised the film for its progressive themes, touching upon what masculinity means. A few of them have given it rave reviews, including Anurag Kashyap and Hrithik Roshan.

Karan Johar’s Recent Box Office Milestone and Upcoming Film Ventures

A recent milestone reached by Karan Johar’s movie at the North American box office is USD 10 million, making it the seventh Indian film and fifth Bollywood film to achieve it. In terms of global sales, the film has reached nearly USD 20 million (Rs. 165 crores). In the near future, Mr. Johar will be directing Yodha, featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapo. Further, KJo said he is looking forward to directing a full-scale action film in the near future
